Training Opportunities with a'Xel

a'Xel, Inc. was a combined effort when, in 2007, our founding group decided to formalize their coaching relationships and their passion for the art of figure skating by incorporating.
The relationship began and was built years prior as we each got to know one another through our coaching.
It was then that the founding group began discussions of what they believed to be the right training environment and training regiment for competitive elite athletes pursuing a dream like none other.
Together, they formed a'Xel, Inc. in order to "a'Xel-erate" this skating process like no other place in the state of Minnesota, offering first rate training programs and instruction both on and off the ice.
a'Xel, Inc. encourages skaters to continue the love of the sport while pursuing an extremely competitive dream and providing this in a safe and encouraging training environment. We work hard and have fun!

Her personal and competitive experience as a professional ballerina, world ballroom finalist and athlete have given her the understanding in what takes to develop an athlete from all perspectives and in a healthful manner. She has specialized in training competitive skaters for 10 years with a focus on core strength, flexibility, muscle balance, and posture and alignment to improve, maintain, and enhance a skater’s performance on the ice.
Lisa says: "I have been an Off- Ice specialist for 10 years and in all the methods of training , Pilates has proven to give my clients the best results in the combination of flexibilty and core strength.
Pilates enables a figure skater to develop a relationship between the mind and body and create the needed awareness , control , focus and internal strength. The use of the cadillac and reformer trains the skater to have correct posture and alignment.
National champions Kiri Baga and Kate Charbonneau train weekly to receive all the benefits pilates delivers for competitive athletes.
